I was so fortunate as to have Jane as my manager at IBM in the early eighties when I was an international assignee from Germany. I remember her unfailing kindness and fairness. I took her leadership style as a role model to live up to. Later, when I had left IBM and moved to the US, she visited me a few times here in Raleigh, and the time spent with her during those visits were very precious to me. I hate to think of the world as a place without her. She has left an enduring legacy. If I feel such a sense of loss, I cannot imagine the pain for her family. I will keep you all in loving thoughts.
